A few months ago, Mary Ann appeared on Hunna G’s YouTube channel, where the producer has built a platform for undiscovered talent. The concept is simple: a table, a microphone and a sign that reads, ‘Take a seat, rap on the beat.’ Usually, rappers step up to showcase their bars over Hunna G’s productions. This time, however, Mary Ann took a seat, told Hunna it was her very first time in New York City and decided to write about the experience instead. What followed was a beautiful blend of her angelic vocals floating effortlessly over the beat rather than rapping. The result was simply too good to stay on YouTube. Thankfully, the track has now made its way to streaming platforms as well. If you ask us, this might just be Clean’s song of the summer.
