Single Review
ELIZA
“Pleasure Boy”
Released 04.03.2026

We are big fans of UK singer ELIZA. Last week she released her brand new album The Darkening Green. The album’s campaign was led by the singles ‘Anyone Else’ and ‘Cheddar’, both setting the tone perfectly for the project as a whole. While going through the album, we very quickly picked our favorite.

The production on ‘Pleasure Boy’ grabs our attention from the very first second. It’s the most upbeat offering on the project and the one track that has our feet tapping along to its funky beat. It’s the ELIZA we love the most — mellow as always, yet leaning into a more “in-your-face” stylized production. The songwriting explores her raw desire and physical attraction within a relationship. At its heart, the song captures the moment when someone becomes completely hypnotized by another person’s presence and body.

It’s not your typical love song. ELIZA is in no way trying to glamorize the beauty of wanting someone. Instead, she remains honest and self-aware about her lust and the simple desire to feel high on that feeling. We especially love the 2:48 mark of the song, when she sings “Cause I’ve been waiting all night” before the track abruptly pauses for a second and then continues.

Let this be the song that convinces you to listen to the project as a whole. You won’t regret it.
