Your weekend starts with new music from Berlin-based Symba. The rapper is part of the creative collective Playboysmafia and rose to fame with the hype around his singles ‘Angels Sippen’ and ‘PS2’. The young star represents a new wave in German rap. We love seeing him as one of the faces of today’s hip-hop, as he constantly challenges the norms of ‘Deutschrap’. With his playful, ironic approach, he breaks away from typical masculinity stereotypes in rap.

On May 7th, the rapper will release his new project BRIEFE AUS BERLIN. The first offering from the album is ‘Wenn es regnet’. With a production this catchy, it’s no surprise Symba opens up lyrically at the same time. The track feels like the perfect starting point for a new era for the Berlin native.

Fun fact — on the album cover, Symba is seen lying on a bed dressed in sheets from Berlin-based brand BLESS.
