It’s Easter, and we’re feeling a little extra celebratory today. So why not take a moment for a throwback to one of the UK’s finest R&B voices? Craig David paved a path entirely on his own. He remains one of the few British male R&B artists to achieve true global, almost legendary status — even breaking into the notoriously tough US market. His influence can still be heard in many of today’s biggest names in the genre. It’s no surprise he was one of our favorites growing up.

With an unforgettable debut, he took over the world in 2000. You couldn’t step into any public space without hearing ‘Fill Me In’, ‘7 Days’ or ‘Walking Away’. His album Born To Do It proved he was exactly that — born to make music. With his second album, he had to show he wasn’t a one-hit wonder — and of course, he delivered. Tracks like ‘What’s Your Flava?’ and the Sting duet ‘Rise & Fall’ kept him firmly on top of the charts. By the time his third album arrived, global attention had faded slightly, with most of his success continuing in the UK only. Don’t ask Clean why — we don’t get it either.

Let’s shine a light on the brilliant lead single from that third album The Story Goes…. With ‘All The Way’, Craig made it clear: this one’s for the club. It’s all about dancing, letting go, and partying through the night. The track has stayed on our playlists ever since — the ultimate mood-setter before a night out. Lyrics like “Just party on party on, we all came here to party. Where drinks don't stop till 6 in the morning… Then onto the after party” might not be here to change the world, but that’s exactly the point. Sometimes, you just need a feel-good anthem to forget everything else for a while.
